| Join the DSP |
How is the DSP organised? Branches are formed on a geographical basis; all members in a city or area will belong to a single branch. This meets at least monthly to discuss and decide on its activities. Each branch elects its own leadership. On a national level, we elect delegates to a national conference, usually held every two years, where party policies and activities are decided and the National Committee, our leadership between conferences, is elected. How do you join? If you decide to join the DSP you apply to the branch in your area, or to the National Office if there's no branch near you. You first become a provisional member. During that time you attend an introductory class series and get to see in more detail how the party works. If you're then convinced the DSP is the party for you, you apply for full membership. If you live in Tasmania, and you want to join, contact the Hobart branch (details below) or simply fill in the form below. Otherwise contact the DSP national office or check out the DSP web site for the branch nearest you. For more information on the politics
of the DSP, check out the DSP web site at www.dsp.org.au.
This site has quite a bit of information, including our introductory brochure, What
Is the DSP?
